I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my order placed with Alankritha boutique by Reshma Deepak on ** January ****. I purchased three dresses during a sale for ₹*,*** (including an additional zipper alteration for one dress). As I required the dresses urgently, I enquired in advance about emergency/fast delivery options. I was advised to wait for the order confirmation email and then decide regarding expedited shipping based on the expected delivery date mentioned therein.
On ** January ****, I received the order confirmation email stating an expected delivery date of ** March ****. Immediately thereafter, I contacted the boutique via Instagram and was informed that expedited dispatch within *–** days could be arranged upon additional payment. Based on this assurance, on ** January ****, I paid ₹*,*** extra (₹*,*** each for two dresses) for fast dispatch of two dresses.
On * February ****, I received an email stating that my order was in the “embroidery phase.” The boutique had previously indicated that customers would receive email updates at each production stage (such as cutting, stitching, embroidery, packaging, and dispatch). However, after the email dated * February ****, I did not receive any further production or dispatch updates.
Despite the *–** day expedited dispatch commitment, I received no confirmation of dispatch within the promised timeframe. I followed up on * February and again on ** February **** via Instagram but received no response. I also sent multiple emails regarding the delay, none of which were replied to. In addition, I attempted to contact the boutique and the founder, Ms. Deepa, through Instagram messages and made multiple phone calls to the contact numbers listed on the website; these calls went unanswered. During this entire period, both the boutique’s and the founder’s social media pages remained actively posting promotional content and sale updates.
On or around ** February ****, I received a response suggesting that they were unaware of my expedited shipping payment because it was made after order confirmation—despite their prior instruction to wait for the confirmation email before opting for emergency shipping. Subsequently, inconsistent explanations were provided: first, that they were unaware of the additional payment; later, that the dresses were completed but not dispatched due to internal packing or shipment oversight.
I was later informed that two dresses were ready and would be dispatched, and that the third dress would be sent by ** February ****. I was told I would receive all three dresses between *st March and ** March ****.and would receive the tracking id on Monday(*st march). It's been a week since, I haven't received any updates. This timeline significantly exceeds the *–** day expedited dispatch commitment made upon receipt of the additional ₹*,*** payment and is approaching the original standard delivery timeline of ** March **** mentioned in the confirmation email.
As of date, despite repeated follow-ups via Instagram, email, and phone calls, I have not received satisfactory clarification regarding the delay, nor a refund of the ₹*,*** paid towards expedited shipping. The services provided do not align with the commitments made at the time of payment. I am therefore requesting a refund of the ₹**** charges and appropriate action regarding the lack of communication, inconsistent explanations, and failure to deliver services as promised.
I am attaching all supporting evidence, including payment confirmations, email records, and chat screen recording.
