A lawyer has issued a legal notice to MG Motors alleging latent manufacturing defects in the newly-launched 'MG Hector.
The dispute is regarding a car delivered in September **.
It is alleged that when the car was sent for second servicing, the company first claimed that various parts of the car have totally failed and have become defunct because water from a bottle kept in the car spilled and entered the crucial parts beneath. Upon the customer raising objection as to damage to the car worth ** Lakhs due to minor spillage of water from a *L bottle, the company changed the version that water found inside the car was excessive and could be because of rain and waterlogging.
The customer, a Supreme Court lawyer, being aggrieved has tendered a legal notice through Advocate Shashwat Anand, seeking full refund of purchase price of car of about ** Lakhs, with interest and damages/compensation.
