Clinic Dermatech - Complaint Regarding Ineffective Treatment and Misleading Commitments Dermatech Agra Branch

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the laser hair reduction and peel treatments I underwent at your Dermatech Clinic, Agra branch.

I initially approached your clinic due to concerns about excessive body and facial hair. After researching online, I decided to visit your clinic, where I was advised to choose between two packages: ₹**,*** for * facial sessions and ₹**,*** for ** full body sessions (including bikini, underarms, legs, hands, and face). My primary concern was facial hair, but your staff strongly recommended the full body package, assuring me of better and long-lasting results. I was specifically promised that hair growth would reduce significantly, become very fine, and that I would not need shaving or waxing in the future. Based on these assurances, I opted for the full body package despite financial constraints, arranging the payment through a loan as I belong to a middle-class family and genuinely needed this treatment.

However, even after completing *–* sessions, I observed no significant improvement in any treated area. The only noticeable change was a slight delay in hair growth, but the thickness and visibility remained the same. Despite repeatedly informing both the staff and the doctor about the lack of results—especially on my face—I was consistently told that there was improvement, even when there clearly was none.

Eventually, I completed approximately **–** sessions on my face and multiple sessions on my body, yet there has been no satisfactory result. In fact, I experienced worsening of facial hair in some areas, including the development of thicker, beard-like hair on my side cheeks, which caused me severe distress.

After my sessions were completed, instead of addressing my concerns, I was encouraged to purchase additional expensive packages, including an “unlimited” plan worth ₹* lakh. This behavior raises serious concerns about the clinic’s intent and ethical practices.

Additionally, I was advised to undergo peel treatments for pigmentation issues in areas such as bikini, thighs, and underarms. I paid ₹**,*** for * sessions from my personal savings. Despite clear assurances that I would see visible improvement within *–* sessions, I did not observe even *% improvement after completing all sessions. When I raised this concern, I was again misled into believing there was improvement.

Shockingly, at the end of the peel sessions, the doctor blamed me for the lack of results, citing weight and hormonal issues, and suggested that I undergo tests and repeat all treatments again. This was highly unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering that I had already undergone necessary medical tests (thyroid, blood tests, insulin, etc.), all of which were normal. While I acknowledge being slightly overweight, it was never communicated earlier that this would impact the treatment results. This should have been clearly explained at the beginning, not after taking full payment and completing sessions.

Throughout my treatment, I maintained a healthy lifestyle, including proper diet, exercise, yoga, and regular attendance at sessions despite the clinic being far from my residence. I remained polite and cooperative at all times, yet my concerns were repeatedly ignored.

I have also incurred additional expenses on the creams and facewash prescribed by your clinic, which are not included in the above-mentioned costs.

This entire experience has resulted in a significant financial loss, emotional distress, and waste of time and effort. I feel completely misled and taken advantage of.

I request you to provide a proper resolution to this matter. I expect either:

A full refund of the amount paid, OR
A double compensation.
Please treat this matter with urgency.
I hope you will address this matter responsibly and ensure that no other customer goes through a similar experience.
