I received a call from MyCaptain offering online courses and was told that their certificates are highly valuable for jobs and widely accepted by companies. I was also informed that my college had referred my contact details, which later turned out to be false when I confirmed with my college.
I was pressured to make the payment on the same day with a “limited-time discount” offer of ₹*,*** (originally ₹**,***). Due to this urgency and the information provided, I made the payment.
I initially joined a course in May (Android App Development), expecting it to be useful. However, I found the course quality unsatisfactory and not as promised. Assuming it might not suit me, I switched to another available course (Robotics), but the experience remained poor. The teaching is unclear, rushed, and does not meet the expectations set during the sales process.
I have already raised a complaint regarding this issue, but there has been no proper response or improvement.
I believe I was misled into purchasing this course through false claims, pressure tactics, and incorrect information. Therefore, I request a full refund of ₹*,***.
If this issue is not resolved, I am prepared to take this matter forward under consumer protection laws.
