Jeetendra Kumar filed complaint against Acko General Insurance Limited on May 26, 2023
I have taken Acko General Health Insurance (Policy No. APHP********) on **th April **.
At the time of taking this plan I disclosed to Tele-verification from Acko Team, and I mentioned about my eye condition that I use the glass and every couple of year I used to change as and when I fell blur/reading issue. I was thinking that’s normal scenario as I am growing old (** yrs). I thought Tele verification team has noted what I mentioned them. So, from myside I mentioned whatever I was knowing about my eye condition to insurer team.
Later on, when tried to change the glass for reading issue but not improved the visibility then I consulted ‘Narayana Nethralaya’ with the routine eye check-up on **th May, **. When doctor asked any issue then I told that reading/blur issue but doctor detected Cataract in left eye and then only I was able to know about that disease that’s was there and I need to go for operation as per suggestion,
So, raised claim(***********) at Acko but Acko claim department has rejected my claim and mentioned that I had not disclose the illness at the time of taking insurance, But I know only about it after consultation at Narayana then how I will disclose at the time of purchase. With That I disclose what I was knowing like glass habit and changing power of glass every alternate year for vision/blur reading. So, I don’t know, now the Acko team mentioning that I had submitted false information but I still maintaining I disclose everything what I was knowing at the time of taking insurance.
On top of claim rejection, Acko team mentioned that they are cancelling my account and NO refund of premium will be given. It’s totally seems dishonesty and cheating with customer.
I am requesting you to please look into this issue and provide the amicable solution.
