Imposing additional charges for canceling a flight due to unforeseen circumstances: My scheduled flight from BOM to MAA was canceled on **-**-**** due to heavy rains in Chennai. Consequently, I had to make a last-minute booking with Vistara after the cancellation of the SpiceJet flight. I opted to cancel the SpiceJet flight, choosing this option over rescheduling. While SpiceJet processed the refund, I discovered that happyfares.com, the platform through which I booked the flight, is now charging me *** INR per person as platform service fees. This amounts to **** INR on top of my original booking cost of **** INR. Consequently, I intend to file a complaint against happyfares.com for not providing comprehensive information on cancellation charges, even in cases where the cancellation is initiated by the airline provider.
