Uber Cab - Charged twice for uber ride

The driver app on uber was not showing checkpoint reached so the next checkpoint was not being shown even though we were at the checkpoint in uber cab. The driver suggested to cancel the trip and pay him on paytm and I did that but when I open the app it shows to pay the cancellation amount which is similar to the trip amount.
