Polam Krishna Chaithanya Reddy filed complaint against Indian Railway Parcel Service on Aug 19, 2019
I booked a parcel (bicycle) from kazipet to visakhapatnam on *th july ****, then the person responsible at kazipet parcel office said that you will recieve a message and you can track the parcel at www.parcel.indianrail.gov.in and he directed me to go to destination parcel office (visakhapatnam) when the parcel reaches there, so i waited, on *th july **** *:**am a text message was recieved by me saying the parcel is loaded on train, then i waited and was going on tracking daily, on *th it showed it will be reaching on *thjuly ****, on *th it is showing it will reach on *th , on *th it just showed loaded on train, then i thought something is not right and i went to the office to enquire, then they said it has been recieved on *th july **** at * PM, and since i was late for pickup, they asked me to pay *,*** rupees and when i said it is your fault that you didn't notify and you can't charge me for you irresponsibility, they said that i should be visiting in person to see the status at the station, i live **kms from station, if i visit the station every day if the parcel didn't arrive what shall i do, they showed me an age old act (**** year)containing rules when digital India was not a thing, when i asked them to show me the amendment, thet guy working there said there will be no amendment for these rules . And they we're like pay money and we'll release the parcel, i had no choice but to pay. I further found out that according to Indian railway commercial manual volume * chapter **, rules **** to **** mentions the duty to notify, here they breached that duty.

My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.
