I contacted Amazon through their app chat feature to validate and confirm if I'm eligible for Rs *** cashback through Amazon Prime if I shop for Rs **** or more. The customer service executive looked at my cart and then confirmed that I'm eligible for the cashback as long as I make the full payment upfront. Based on this confirmation I proceeded to shop and paid the entire amount. Now they tell me that I'm ineligible and I've been wrongly informed and they apologize but cannot give me the cash back. I would not have shopped for Rs **** if I was not getting this money. I've been cheated. It's like you promise a new flat owner a car along with the booking but later inform that it was wrongly communicated.
Many thanks for your proactive approach and prompt action. This has accelerated and helped in resolving my issue.
