Thomas Cook India - Cancelled my trip and not refunding my money

Dr Pranjal Agarwal filed complaint against Thomas Cook India on Apr 6, 2020

I Dr. Pranjal Agarwal booked a Travel Package with my then would be wife Komal Agarwal (Married on **.**.****) on **.**.**** with Thomas Cook to travel to Switzerland and Paris (Tour-Mini Europe) from **th April, **** to **th May, **** with Advance Payment of Rs. *,**,***/- INR.
I received a mail from Thomas Cook on **.**.**** stating as follows :
Due to current scenario of COVID ** , we are cancelling your file with the cancellation charges of INR ***** /- (Visa fee & Service charges).

Now, I have written to Thomas Cook to refund my rest of the amount (rs. *,**,***-Rs. **,***) i.e. Rs. **,***/- to my bank account and also sent my account details to them, after which I have received a response that money cannot be refunded, it can only be used by me in any upcoming trip booked through Thomas Cook before **.**.****.
I also mentioned, that since Thomas Cook has already charged me with Cancellation Charges as well, after which they again clarified that they can only refund the amount through adjustment in upcoming trip and not by refund to bank account.
