Uber Cab - Call taxi companies are taking passengers for a ride

I had hired an Uber at Bengaluru India. The route that was showing was quite long as I am a local. Driver was unwilling to take me in the route that was shortest as he informed that the company will penalise him if he takes my route. My rights as a consumer is challenged. This intentional route by UBER has caused both time and money loss. I cannot even attach any evidence or the company’s help centre on the app does not show anything for such a complaint. Hence I am writing it here. Uber is on a cheating mode.
