Indigo - Baggage damage and pilferage

While travelling from KL to Chennai, my new luggage bag is damaged even when fragile tag was added to both bags due to glass bottles Inside the bag and the lock is also missing from one of the bags. This was a new bag which I purchased from KL during my current trip.

After checking the bag I found out that few items are also missing like New perfume bottle, watch and imported conditioner that I got from KL during my trip.

I informed Indigo staff named Sanskriti on arrival at T* Chennai about the damages and asked her to file a PIR, to which I was denied and asked to email this if instead of taking acting on this. While dropping baggages for connecting flight I was asked about missing weight from my luggage and was told that this should have been reported by the staff then And there instead of asking for an email complaint.

How irresponsible is this behaviour by the staff ?

I want to get compensated for the damaged luggage and the missing items. The staff wasn’t aware of the process before wrongly advising the customers.
