Gaurang Chhatrasinh Damor filed complaint against Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited on May 19, 2020
My name is Gaurang. I am a resident of Bhayandar (East), Thane, Maharashtra and I have a Kotak Mahindra Bank savings account with my home branch at Ghatkopar (West). On March **, ****, when I was in my hometown in Gujarat, I received a transaction alert SMS and email that INR **,*** were withdrawn from my Kotak Bank account using my ATM/Debit card at *:**am & *:**am. The card was in my possession and the ATM transaction happened at a Canara Bank ATM in Nalasopara (East), Thane, Maharashtra (ATM ID - ****W***). Immediately, I raised a complaint with Kotak Mahindra Bank and blocked my ATM/Debit card. Kotak Bank told me that the process of refund/investigation will take ** days. Upon returning to Bhayanadar on March **, ****, I visited the Navaghar Police station and they informed to bring a signed and stamped ‘dispute’ form from along with a written complaint. On March **, ****, I submitted the same with the police station and a duplicate copy of my application (signed and stamp by the Navaghar police) was submitted to the Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Bhayandar (East) branch. Now after ** days, Kotak Mahindra Bank, in an email, told me that Canara Bank has refused to share the CCTV footage of March **, ****, with Kotak and therefore the investigation cannot be completed and my refund will not take place.
