Karnataka Bank - Applying unnecessary charges in saving bank account

I am holding a joint saving bank account in Karnataka Bank Ltd. Malviya Nagar, New Delhi branch with the name of Abhay Kumar Rai & Pooja Rai. It was open more than *.* years back. At the time of opening the account, I was clearly asked the bank executive/employee "I am interested to open only zero balance account and they said ok no problem sir you can do that and there are no extra charges apply to the non-maintaining minimum balance on the account." After that my wife forced me to deposit some amount so did rupees ***/- in that on the same day.

Now I am moving from New Delhi to Gorakhpur and there is no branch of Karnataka Bank Ltd. So I visited the branch and asked them to close the account. But I was surprised to see rupees -****/- balance in my account and the amount I had in the account was also gone. When I asked the bank executive/employee about it, they said this is a new rule was introduced a few months back on all type of accounts and there is nothing they can do about it. I need to pay the rupees -****/- balance first after that they can close my account if not then the bank can send a legal notice to my address for the same. The executive/employee is so arrogant and not ready to listen to me. After that, he said now this is lunchtime so come after ** minutes do deposit the amount first. Unfortunately, I did recognize his name.
