My name is J Khan. I’m the victim of online fraud through Amazon Pay EMI and I would like to explain and give a complaint on it.
On **th July **** Saturday I got a call from Capital Float Team states that I have a loan EMI pending with Amazon Pay EMI. Initially I thought that its an spam however, when the frequency of the call and SMS from Capital Float increased, I decided to pick the call and spoke to them where they told me that I have to pay INRXXXXX for the purchase made through. Initially I was shocked because I haven’t purchased anything on Amazon.in, infact I didn't used it for last few months.
I then tried to login in to my account with registered email to see what went wrong however, it said that no email or phone associated with Amazon. I also, called the Amazon customer care to further look into the matter however, they also said that the registered email and phone is not associated with the email.
I then looked into my email account and found the historical orders which I gave reference and after which they agreed that it was an associated account. Then they restored the account however, I saw that there were two orders placed on my account by Akahay mane, fake address was mentioned of a Temple in Kolhapur. The hacker had purchased two electronic items worth INR XXXXX.
I have already registered a complaint with Amazon where they have accepted that the account is hacked and they remove and write off the previous order information however, my concern is if that is not wrote off by Capital Float that may impact my credit score, also the criminal is still out and risk for many of us.
Moreover, I can see that there are lot of other similar complaints by other people as well. Either Capital Float or Amazon, Someone from these companies are accessing details of customers and spoofing accounts.
I request to Voxya Team, to get me out from this online fraud and do a needful justice on this issue. And I would like to provide all the information and required documents for speedy justice.
