Clear Trip India - Air ticket cancellation refund

We are senior citizens. On ** Feb **** at ** am I purchased air ticket for my husband and myself on ClearTrip.com web site from Melbourne, Australia to Delhi, India for travel on * June **** by Cathay Pacific. This flight is via HongKong.
At * pm on the same day I checked the web site to see if I should cancel it. The web site cancelled the ticket without showing the cancellation charge and giving option to confirm cancellation or select not to cancel. Instead the ticket was cancelled by ClearTrip with the folowing message
“We would like to let you know that your Melbourne - New Delhi one-way flight booking with Trip ID ************ has been successfully cancelled as requested by you.
Please note, the refund will be processed within the next ** hours and credited to your original payment source within *-** working days as per the standard banking procedures.
We would like to thank you for your understanding.”
ClearTrip further sent email as follows-
“The refund for your Melbourne - New Delhi one-way flight booking with Trip ID ************ based on cancellation has been successfully processed.

Refund to original payment source within *-** working days as per standard banking procedures: Rs.*,***.**
You can track your refund and the refund reference number once generated under My trips section or by clicking here: www.cleartrip.com/support.

I called them and complained that this is unfair and unethical business practice. They have been repeating that it is as per Cathay Pacific rules and they cannot do any thing.
I called Cathey Pacific and they have said the matter is between us as buyer and ClearTrip as seller and they have no role in the matter.
Cathay Pacific offers same day cancellation without any penalty or cancellation charge.
ClearTrip is cheating me of the refund due to me from Cathay Pacific.
It is also standard practice for businesses to compensate the customers for any mal practice by their agents.
Please take action against ClearTrip and Cathay Pacific.
