MiM Essay - Unfair Denial of Refund by MiMEssay for Unused Services

I am filing this complaint against MiM-Essay, a service provider I engaged with in February ****, for assistance with my application to business schools for the **** intake. On **.**.****, MiM-Essay proposed a consolidated fee of INR **,***/-, with an initial payment of INR **,***/- (**% of the total) due within ** hours and the remaining INR **,***/- (**%) due within the next ** days. Following this, I made the first payment of INR **,***/- on **.**.****.

Due to unforeseen personal reasons, I was unable to utilize their services. Consequently, I requested a refund and the cancellation of my enrollment on **.**.****. This request was denied by MiM-Essay, and instead, I was offered a two-year deferment. Reluctantly, I agreed to this deferment as I was left with no other choice.

Subsequently, upon deciding not to go abroad for business studies, I once again requested a refund on **.**.****. MiM-Essay arbitrarily denied this request. Despite not availing of or utilizing any of their services, MiM-Essay refused to refund my money, amounting to INR **,***/-. Their actions have caused significant financial and mental distress as they unjustly retain my payment for services that were never rendered. This refusal to refund constitutes an act of unlawful enrichment and amounts to an unfair trade practice, as they have not delivered the promised services or provided a refund for the unused services. This experience has caused me considerable mental anguish and financial hardship. MiM-Essay's refusal to honour my refund request, despite their services being unused, highlights their unfair trade practices and lack of customer empathy.
