Hdfc Ergo - Unable to renew medical policy

I missed to pay my medical policy premium which was due on june * as I was out of the country. I did not receive any reminder email to help me with the same. I am not pleading them to allow me to renew my policy as an exception as it was a genuine miss but they are not agreeing. Please help
