- Shipped damage monitor and denied replacement Open

Please note the chronology of events below -
-I had ordered a ThinkVision X**q-** monitor on March * from www.lenovo.com
-The monitor was shipped through Bluedart and was delivered to me on March ** at **:** hrs (Tracking id - *********** may be used on bluedart.com to ascertain the date and time of delivery)
-I opened the package on March ** and connected the monitor to the computer. Upon connection, it was clear that the monitor is defective.
-I immediately brought the matter to the notice of Lenovo Tech Support on March **, who assigned a Service Request id - ********** to my case.
-To convince them there is no single physical damage to the exterior of the monitor. I submitted photographs of the monitor and the package that is arrived in from all possible angles.
-I have been told that Lenovo's DoA replacement period is * days from the date of order and that period was over on March ** when I had notified them.
-On the other hand, I had received delivery of the item only on March **. It was not possible for me to bring the issue to their notice even before I had received delivery of the monitor
-On March **, I received a mail from lencare@lenovo.com rejecting the DOA replacement request. A rejection id was mentioned - R*********
-On March ** i.e today, Lenovo tech support too rejected a replacement citing damage to the monitor as the reason.
I have already taken the monitor to the authorised Lenovo service centre at Jorhat. They have mentioned that repairing the monitor would cost the same as a new one.
The monitor was manufactured on **-**-**** and was delivered to me in March ****.
Please note that there is not a single scratch or scuff on the exterior of the monitor. In all probability, the monitor was thrown around during shipping causing internal damage. The decision to use Bluedart courier services was Lenovo's, not mine. I had reported the issue to tech support well within ** hours from delivery. I have documentary evidence to show the exact date and time of delivery by Bluedart. The date of manufacture points to a deliberate ploy by someone at Lenovo to get rid of an old, unsold and defective item to an unsuspecting customer.
