- Regarding serious discrepancies in Health Insurance policy agreement Closed
I have purchased a health policy# ****/********/**/*** under the name of Mr. Ramesh Chandra Rawat(self) and my wife Mrs. Anita Rawat for * years dated **nd March **** from Policy Bazaar (people advisor was Gaurav Mehta PW*****). At that time while filling the proposal form (PFA proposal form filled to Policy Bazaar) he clearly mentioned pre-existing diseases for himself and his current medications. Accordingly, he paid extra loading charges for the same.
On **rd of March, ****, I have received a mobile message notification stating that Universal Sompo has issued the policy. I contacted Gaurav Mehta requesting him to provide a soft copy for the same but he told me that due to this lockdown situation there is a delay from Universal Sompo generating soft copy even though they have issued the policy. He requested me to wait for another day or two for the same call recording between me and him is available with me.
Again I have contacted him asking for the soft copy and was given the same answer on the **th of March, ****. I called again on *nd of April,**** around *:** PM in the night requesting him to provide the copy, he gave me the same answer after asking a lot he assured me that by tomorrow morning I will receive a copy of the same. Within ** mins of completing the call, I have received the copy on my email(on the same day i.e. *nd of April, ****), this was really astonishing how exactly within ** mins soft copy got generated from Universal Sampo.
After checking the copy I realized there was no description of pre-existing diseases as mentioned in the proposal form, I repeatedly called Policy Bazaar customer care & even Gaurav Metha for getting it rectified but all my efforts got failed.
When I downloaded the copy from Universal Sompo the policy was entirely different, there was a huge discrepancy between what we filled in the proposal form, soft copy from Policy Bazaar and original policy copy from Universal Sompo website.
In this whole scenario here are my couple concerns:
Why the policy copy was not provided to us on **rd itself when the policy issued on that day itself?
How the policy got generated within ** mins of my call on the *nd of April, ****, when Gaurav Mehta told me that there is a delay from the Insurance Company, Who and why the policy was held?
What will be the free look period in this case as I have received the copy on the *nd of April, ****? As free look period starts from the date of receipt of the policy.
Why there is a discrepancy between what we have filled and what Policy Bazaar people provided as a so-called policy copy and what is there in the original copy from Universal Sompo If this cannot be resolved by today end of the day then, please mark this as a formal agreement to back-out from the policy and process my refund.
