I have booked an Indigo flight ticket through Yatra Online Pvt Limitited on ** Jan, **** from Port blair to Hyderabad for the date * April, ****(PNR - XJ**RM, Booking reference number - *************). I have paid a total amount of Rs. ****. This flight was cancelled in March, due to the current pandemic Covid ** situation. When I verified about the refund process and it's status with the concerned Airlines after few days, I was told that the refund has already been processed from their(Indigo's) end and it is pending with Yatra.
It's been more than * months now and I have been following up with Yatra on emails every week since then. But, I only get to receive an auto triggered email every time, stating that it is pending from Airlines and they have been working closely with airlines. They keep sending these auto triggered responses to such emails just to calm the customers down for the next ** days and are completely fake assurances. They don't even have an active Customer care number to reach out to.
I have received refunds which are far higher amounts than the current amount from other third party sites without any fuss and delays, but i am not sure why Yatra is not successful in doing this. This is completely ridiculous to keep a customer waiting for such a long time. On top of this, they just blame the airlines, while the airlines have already processed the refunds long back.
I understand the current situation and that's the reason I have been patient and co-operating with them all this time, but they take advantage out of this and fool the customers imposing false statements that they are talking to airlines on this, and trying to escape at that moment. I have been through lot of stress and mental agony, while I have invested my valuable time in trying to reach out to them in all possible ways, but in vain.
I could see hundreds of similar complaints on Twitter raised by many other victims. This has to be put to an end and Yatra has to address all these issues without any further delays.
I request you to consider my grievance and address it at the earliest.
