I applied for a landline connection from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the first week of January ****. The technical team of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited visited my residence after a week and informed that it was not possible to install a phone because copper wire connectivity does not exist in my area. After a week, I received an email from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited on ** January informing about the billing procedure for telephone No.****-******* (Account No. **********) allotted to me. Through an email to portalhelpdesk@bsnl.co.in, I asked the same day as to when will my phone be installed but I got no reply.
Sure enough, on ** February I received a bill of Rs. ****/= for telephone Number ****-******* (Account No. **********), which was never installed at my residence.
I informed portalhelpdesk@bsnl.co.in about this anomaly repeatedly and also told that it is a fraud to seek payment without providing services but got no reply. I even made telephonic complaints on 'customer care' numbers but never got any positive feedback. I have even contacted the 'sdo' of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited of this area, he too does not respond.
Mr Shiv Kumar of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited accompanied by another person came home and installed the phone on ** February. I informed this to the 'sdo' through WhatsApp message because it is impossible to get him on the telephone.
I have now received a bill for February. I have requested the 'sdo' and portalhelpdesk@bsnl.co.in to annul my earlier bills and provide me with a bill from ** February **** to the date of installation of the phone. This phone became dead in the morning of ** March, two weeks after installation, because I have not paid the erroneous bills for the months of January and February. I also informed the 'sdo' through WhatsApp and messages about the installation of the phone, it goes dead and the entire story of erroneous bills.
Besides charging me for the months of January and February without installing a phone, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has also harassed me by not responding to my queries and denying me the option to use a landline from another service provide by keeping me entangled with them.
I am attaching copies of the emails sent by me to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. I have no evidence of the numerous phone calls made to their customer care and WhatsApp and messages sent to Shri Ashok Kumar, sdo of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in my area, on his phone +** **********.
