I am filing this complaint against Uber Eats. On ** August ****, I had placed an order worth Rs.***. ** for food ordered from Le Arabia Restaurant, Basaveshwaranagar, Bangalore and made the payment by Credit Card. The order was picked up by the delivery partner and when he called he was guided to my location. This was an order which was to be delivered at door. After some time, when the order was still not delivered, I checked and found that the delivery partner had called at *:** pm I immediately called back at *:** pm ( within * minutes) and he didn't pick up. Then , Uber Eats sends a message that the order is cancelled because the delivery partner could not contact me. Uber Eats cancels order without refund.
Now, the ordeal started. I tried to contact the delivery guy and the ivrs very kindly informs that ' either your number is not registered with us or your caller id has been blocked'.
And after frantic searching ( there is no customer care avenues displayed prominently so that it will be easy for customers to contact Uber Support) , I got another number, which says since there are no ongoing orders ( which they very conveniently cancelled themselves) you may register a complaint and Uber Customer Care will reach you in ** hrs. ( Are you kidding me?)
So basically, my grievances are these:
*. I demand a full refund from Uber Eats as my order was cancelled unjustly.
*. Uber Eats should compensate me for the trauma and trouble caused by an inefficient system of unmonitored partners who are dishonest and the most cunningly inefficient customer care support I have come across in my life. Believe me, I deal with a number of digital businesses as a customer.
I hope Voxya.com will be able to help me bring Uber Eats to deliver justice.
