This is regarding non refund of booking amount for tata altroz XT dark edition. Despite repeated searches I was unable to get through to an official of tata motors who could resolve the issue.
I had booked a tata altroz XT dark edition on June ** ****. I had paid ***** (which is way higher than the norm). I decided to cancel the booking the next day as I am leaving the country and received an offer to work abroad for * years on June **. I informed the showroom manager and the sales representative of my intention and the manager said she will process the refund only after June **. She did it to maintain her sales figure as i received a congratulatory message from tata motors for buying a tata altroz XT dark edition (for ***** bucks!!!!!!).
Anyways I contacted the sales representative through WhatsApp and asked him to do the needful and his reply was ok sir. Again I gave him my bank details and his reply was ok sir. No refund has yet been issued for the booking amount. I am out of town for the last ** days and am unable to visit the showroom which is gugnani Autocars at Mancheswar industrial estate Bhubaneswar.
I have attached the receipt for reference.
I may have to approach the consumer court if i dont get a response from the company. ***** is a big amount much higher than ***** that is charged for booking a car. Moreover I was asked to make the full payment the moment I paid the booking amount. Such unfair practices do not reflect well on a reputed brand like tata and somethin must be done about this.
