I was invited by "Orchid holidays & Hospitality" with my spouse on **-**-**** via phone call & whatsapp message invitation to attend their event at recreation club of my organization (NTPC Ltd, Kaniha) by assuring us to give free holidays home stay and free vouchers with no terms and conditions.
But when we reached there, we found there was no events going on inside a confined room. They just promoted their holidays product by their clever talking & manipulating the mind of the invited people (only * to * families were there) without any information Brochure & necessary valid documents of their product.
After my repeated denial they had convinced me to join their membership. They didn't let me free to rethink and also did not show the contract before taking membership. I had joined ** year plan holidays packages (Holidays Type:**YT*) and fully paid the amount of INR **,*** (Ninty thousand rupees) via credit card EMI & signed necessary documents.
After joining the membership on that day I realized the marketing person hid, mislead & suppressed many information like “Annual Maintenance charges”, high fooding charges & also the hotels are situated in outskirts of many tourist places & major cities which lead to high conveyances charge. Also conditions of omicron variant of covid became very worse day by day. On very next days (on **-**-****) before activation of my membership card I requested via email to their customer service center & also phone called the marketing person to cancel my membership application & refund my money due to covid and my personal problem. The marketing person assured me to wait for * to * days (Membership Processing Time) & to contact the customer care executive for cancellation of my membership before activation of my membership card.
After * days again I contacted to customer care executive by phone & Email, but they refused to cancel my membership form & also denied to consider any situation like personal problem & covid. Instead in panic they tried to convinced me to use their service as soon as possible to activate my membership card, It has been over nearly * years, still they have neither considered my request nor took necessary steps to refund my money though still date I have never used their free voucher & Holiday home services. I had also file complain in CONSUMER HELP LINE of govt of India, But they replied formally.
