I’m mentioning below the issues & trauma I’ve faced since I’ve picked up my Tata Nexon XMA+ S (MH**DX****) from your dealership on **th August ****.
**th Aug **** – Vehicle picked up & working
**th Aug **** (around *pm) – Vehicle working
**th Aug **** (around **pm) – Vehicle working
**st Aug **** (around **am) – Vehicle not working
**nd Aug **** (around **.**am) – Vehicle working again
**nd Aug **** (around *pm) – Vehicle not working, called Shailesh at Trident motors he informed that he will arrange for someone to come and check then we insisted for him to come & check. He told us to connect to Keshava motors for assistance, when we finally were able to connect with them, they told us that it’s too late to send anyone today. We were then asked to connect to RSA toll free number, after more than * hour of multiple calls & discussions they said they will send some technician in * hours. In the meanwhile, Mr.Shailesh reached & checked our vehicle and said it seems to be a software issue & nothing major & that this shouldn’t happen with a brand new car, he hasn’t seen such an issue before in a brand new car. Mr.Shailesh said to inform him if it doesn’t start and he’ll arrange for someone around **.**am from Tata service station to check, he left for the day. After half an hour the RSA technician reached and checked the vehicle and said everything is fine so it’s a software issue. RSA said that the car is in reserve, we informed him that we filled the tank with ** litres so it isn’t possible and then later he said that there is fuel. RSA said that this doesn’t happen in a new car. RSA said that someone from the service station will need to come and check, so we ended our day physically & mentally exhausted and very disappointed.
**rd Aug **** – We started following up at **.**am with Trident motors & Keshava motors to arrange someone to come and check the vehicle. Keshava motors said that I’ll have to wait for * MONTH for a software update slot, great service!! After multiple follow ups with Trident motors & their commitment that I’ll be receiving an call in *mins from the GM Mr.Virendra, I didn’t receive any call from anyone. At *pm, a technician from Puneet Motors reached and checked the vehicle, after full inspection he said that there is a relay plug in the fuse box which was loosely fitted and he has now fixed it and the vehicle started. He did a test drive and said that now it’s fixed and won’t happen again, it was a minor issue as these things don’t happen in a new car, it’s the first time he’s seen this issue. I was assured that this issue won’t happen again, so that night we took a **kms drive and there wasn’t any issue.
**th Aug **** (around *pm) – Vehicle not working, tried contacting the person we were in contact with from Puneet motors multiple times but no response. We came directly to Trident motors & met Mr.Mangesh, showed him call logs and whatsapp messages where we were following up and waiting for a response, after discussion he asked us if the vehicle can be taken for a full diagnosis on **th Aug, we agreed and said that if there is any issue after this Trident motors will be responsible for it. He informed that we will receive an email confirming the same.
**th Aug **** – After multiple messages and calls to Trident motors, I received a call at *.**pm from the same person from Puneet Motors asking if it’s the same issue. I explained to them that the same issue has occurred within **hrs after getting an assurance from the technician that it has been resolved, he spoke to the technician and called back after **mins saying that they will pick up my Vehicle and take it to the service center. Someone came around *.**pm and after my wife told them how it started the previous time, they did the same and took the car to the service center. My wife accompanied them and once they reached, my wife was informed that they will need to keep the vehicle for a day as they need to do a complete diagnosis and call us tomorrow, we agreed for that and she left the service station.
From **nd Aug till **th Aug, me and my wife have had to take leave from office just because there is no proper update or timelines.
**th August **** - After multiple follow ups daily from **th aug to **ty aug, I've been given different reasons like wiring issue, software issue and now I've been informed that the TCU needs to be replaced as it's defective. How can such a major part be defective in a new car which is only * days old. The service centre manager is also saying that this happens in * out of **k+ cars. I want my car to be replaced
This is OUR FIRST CAR and we bought it from Trident motors through a reference and because I was assured at the time of booking that there won’t be any issues with the vehicle that we will receive. After facing so much mental & physical torture because of buying a TATA CAR, I will always be in tension whenever we drive our car that it may stop on the way and my family will get stuck at someplace where no one from TATA will come to help us. If anything like this ever happens, it will be TATA motors & Trident’s responsibility.
