Aradhana rana filed complaint against Sbi Bank on Feb 15, 2022
My joint account with my husband, ( an ex army officer) is his pension account from which no shopping on net banking has ever been done in the past ** years. There is no credit card with the account . This fraud happened within * hours and continued while I was complaining on phone, till the account was blocked. No OTP was shared , the OTP option was disabled by the hacker by hacking my profile password and changing instructions. No bank official got in touch with me in spite of seeing the very odd transactions taking place. My password is not known to ANY ONE including my husband. I have a personal PC on which no one else has access, including my husband, since he does not know net banking. In view of this, the bank has failed to check this activity and I hold them responsible for letting this happen. The fraud was reported while it was happening. ** failed transactions and ** successful transactions took place within * hours. It was reported to cybercrime and an FIR was made. The bank officials kept misguiding me and delaying the procedure. They kept giving me hope that it will be reversed and not to hurry it up. The complaint was also made on RBI BANK OMBUDSMAN also but in spite of having all evidence nothing happened and they delayed it to a point when the RBI ombudsman made it time barred. This complaint was filed on ** Sept **** within * hrs of the fraud, and ** months later they tell me that they have closed the case.
