- Negligence from KANVA HOSPITAL in treating my mother Open
I would like to bring to your kind notice that, my mother by name Arunajyothi, **y/ F , was admitted in KANVA HOSPITAL SUPER SPECIALITY CENTER,RAICHUR on **/**/**. She was diagnosed with acute severe pancreatitis with septic shock. The treating Doctor was Dr Manjunath Hatti. Sir, I would like to inform you that we were told by the treating Doctor that her condition is serious, and her bp was low and was on noradrenaline infusion for the same. Later on **/**/ **, the Doctor informed us that her condition is very serious, and she needs to be transferred to higher centre for further management. It was informed to us that the ambulance service is available with all the latest facilities. But, there was a clear negligence from the treating Doctor and the concerned staff while shifting our patient from Icu to ambulance. She was not accompanied neither by the treating Doctor, nor a duty doctor nor a nursing staff untill the ambulance. She was not connected even to the monitor, nor there was any noradrenaline medicine infusion, nor there was any oxygen support. This shows a clear negligence from the hospital administration. My question is when we were told that the patient is very critical, and needs treatment at higher centre, how can the hospital staff be so negligent that the can't even connect her to the basic monitor and accompany her till the patient is shifted to the ambulance without infusion pump. She was accompanied by a security guard who I feel is not aware of anything about the patient. She succumbed to death while shifting from icu to ambulance. We have to face a major loss because of this negligence. Sir my question is , when they cannot provide basic care to the patient, why are they even allowed to open the hospital, how are they getting permission to run such hospital with such a low standard of care. I feel it is not just a loss for my family, but for entire Raichur district as we go for treatment blindly believing and expecting that we will get good care. Not everyone can afford to take their loved ones to higher centres, and hospital like this KANVA HOSPITAL are showing us false security and making money by providing such poor standard of care.
