I was exploring my options for buying a * seater family car, which is when I was approached by Nandi Toyota and its Sales Representative.
Below are the key people from Nandi Toyota, Whitefield, Bangalore
*. Booking Order number: ORD*********, Advance Booking Amount : Rs. **K
*. Mr. Kiran, Sales Person, Ph: +** ***** *****
*. Mr. N T Gistto Joseph, Sales Manager, Ph: +** ***** *****
*. Ms. Nasharga, Toyota Bharath Customer experience, Ph: *-***-***-****
*. Ms. Priya, Nandi Toyota’s Customer service department, Ph: +**-**********
• On **th Feb ****, Kiran (Nandi Toyota’s Sales Representative) came to my home to give me a Test drive of new Toyota Fortuner. He insisted and committed me on following
*. If I make a booking today (**th Feb ****), he can deliver the car in ** – ** days
*. Toyota Fortuner may have a price increase in April **** but I will be Price protected if I make a booking today (**th Feb ****) or in a day or two
*. Kiran and his team also evaluating my old car (****, Honda Jazz, iCVT) and estimated it Rs. *.* Lakhs in exchange for new Toyota Fortuner
*. Kiran offered me **K discount on the Ex-Showroom price of my selected car (Price sheet and Cost agreed attached as Evidence*) .
a. My car selection was Toyota Fortuner (*.*L) *x* AT(ZY/SY), Sparkling Blue Color with Black Interior.
*. My booking advance was ***% refundable, if for any reasons I change my mind and don’t take the car.
• With all above, I was ready to make the bookings. I personally went to Nandi Toyota, Whitefield, Bangalore and confirmed the booking on **-March-****, by paying a booking amount of Rs **K (Receipt attached in evidence-*). The expectation was that the Car will be delivered to us in ** – ** days, which would have been any where between **th – **th March ****. On every follow up prior to **th March Kiran assured me that Car delivery in on Time, however on **th March ****, he said that delivery date has been pushed to **th March and later on **th March he said its pushed to **th March.
• On **th March ****, Kiran’s boss, Mr. N T Gistto Joseph, called me and said that Toyota Bharath has increased the Vehicle price and I have to pay the difference if I want the car (This was the *st breach of commitment). After a bit of negotiation, Kiran confirmed me that he will try to get my Car by mid or by end of April-****. If he delivers the car with in April****, as he promised me during sales demo, I will not have to pay the increased price difference. Whatapps screenshot attached as evidence-*.
• On every follows for car delivery between **th March – **th of March ****, Kiran confirm that he is waiting for the Car and he is very positive that he will deliver me the car by mid April ****. However on a follow up on **th April ****, I was told that my Order was never placed as I didn’t agree to the price hike (This was the *nd breach of commitment). I think this is a big mistake and unethical practice from Nandi Toyota’s side, as they took the booking advance from customer, but kept the customer in dark that their Order has been placed, while behind the scene it was cancelled or put on hold.
• On **th April ****, I personally went to Nandi Toyota, Whitefield, Bangalore to check the matter. Kiran greeted me well, but told me that my booking cannot be reinitiated unless I pay additional Rs. **K as booking advance (This was the *rd breach of commitment). I resisted to this but I was told, nothing else can be done. I felt helpless and I was forced to pay another Rs **K as advance (Receipt attached in evidence-*). Kiran’s team who evaluated my old car warned me that the cost of Old Car has deprecated and now they would be able to offer me something under Rs. *.** L (This was the *th breach of commitment).
• After paying the second advance, I was promised and assured several time, that all past mistakes can be forgiven and forgotten and I should have my car by **th – **th of May**** without Fail. However Kiran’s team who evaluated my old car said that they would further depreciate my old car’s value. However Kiran came upfront and said he will manage the price internally and still offer me Rs *.* Lakhs as promised initially as a goodwill because of all the hassle that I had to go through.
• Once again every follow between ** – **th April ****, I was assured that there cannot be any circumstances why I would not get my Car this time as committed. However on **th May after failing the deadline of **th May ****, Kiran said that he has no dates and he cannot commit to me if they would be able to deliver the car (This was the *th breach of commitment). It was a bit of frustration, but he was not ready to cooperate or have me discuss with his Managers. On several request he shared me his boss number Mr. N T Gistto Joseph. I tried calling him multiple times, but he would refuse to speak to me or pick up my call. At this stage I was very nervous about my money advance of Rs **K that I have given to them so far.
• With my little knowledge, I called Toyota Bharath and spoke Ms. Nasharga from Toyota Customer experience (Ph: *-***-***-****) and explained the matter. I was assured that they will look into the matter and resolve it asap. This was immediately escalated to Nandi Toyota’s Customer service department and I was put in touch with Ms. Priya (+**-**********). She assured to get back to me with resolution.
• After this matter was escalated, N T Gistto Joseph called me and said that whatever Kiran has promised, its his personal commitments and Nandi Toyota cannot honor any of those (This was the *th breach of commitment). I was surprised to hear that statement as I thought that Kiran’s word as an employee is Nandi Toyota word. If not he should not have been Hired and allowed to make any sales.
• After * days Priya came back to me with following resolution
*. I will get my Car only by end of July ****
*. My Old Car will be reevaluated for the price at that time and an offer will be made that time based on the reevaluated price
*. Any price increase by then for my new Toyota Fortuner has to be borne by me
• This has been very disheartening, and I feel that I have been cheated and bullied by Nandi Toyota and his employees. Nandi Toyota made fake Commitments and Marketing gimmicks & Holding my Money now for * months without any commitments or delivery dates.
• My gut feeling is that Mr. Kiran and Mr. Gistto (and may be others) are goofing up something. Ms. Nasharga & Ms. Priya made me aware that I should have received an official booking form, but till date Mr. Kiran or Mr Gistto have never spoken to me about the booking form nor handed it to me till date. On insisting a lot, recently they have just given me the Order number: ORD*********
