Keychron India Private Limited - Low quality keyboard sold by Keychron India

I am wanting to bring to your attention a grievance I have against Keychron, the manufacturer of the Keychron K* Version * keyboard, which I purchased on **/**/**** through their online portal.

The Keychron K* Version * keyboard is advertised as a versatile product that can be connected either via Bluetooth or Cable. However, shortly after purchase, I encountered an issue when attempting to connect it via Bluetooth, which was unsuccessful. As I primarily used the keyboard connected via cable for my work, I only discovered this issue approximately six to eight months into the purchase.

I immediately sought assistance by contacting Keychron's support team through their chat service. They provided a series of troubleshooting options, which I diligently followed, despite the heavy workload that I was facing at the time. The troubleshooting processes and verifications required a significant amount of time, during which I tried all the suggested steps, including switching on/off Bluetooth, fully charging the keyboard, attempting to connect with other devices, and updating the firmware. Unfortunately, none of these efforts resolved the Bluetooth connectivity problem.

Due to the time-consuming nature of the support process and the product's usability via cable, I attributed the delay in reporting the issue within the first year-end mark to one of the contributory reasons. Upon exhausting all the support team's recommendations to no avail, I contacted them again to report the persistent issue.

However, to my disappointment, the support team merely repeated the same troubleshooting steps, even though I had already performed them without success. Subsequently, they claimed that the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) was damaged and required replacement at an exorbitant cost of approximately Rs ****, which amounts to **% of the original product's value.

I find this response unsatisfactory for several reasons. Firstly, a new Keychron K* Version * keyboard is available in the market for about **** Rs. Considering that the PCB is at the core of the product's functionality, it is evident that this issue arose due to a manufacturing fault. Despite reporting the problem within a month after the warranty period had expired in December, I believe that dismissing my claim on the grounds of being one month late is unjustified, particularly when it is evident that the issue is a result of a manufacturing defect.

Secondly, mechanical keyboards are known for their longevity and durability, regardless of usage frequency. However, my Keychron K* Version * keyboard experienced a fried PCB within just one year of purchase, which raises concerns about the overall build quality of the product.

Moreover, I pointed out to the customer service representative that mechanical keyboards typically have a lifespan of *-* years or more. The fact that my keyboard became unusable within the second year of use indicates a low-quality build of the product.

Despite raising these valid concerns with the customer service representative, I was met with non-responsiveness. Numerous email exchanges failed to yield a satisfactory resolution, and when I contacted Keychron's customer care on February **th, ****, a representative from the Delhi NCR warehouse assured me that my issue would be escalated, and I would receive a call back from a superior or manager. However, to date, no one has reached out to me.

In a final attempt to seek assistance, I also tried reaching out to Keychron through Ingram. However, my query remained unanswered for over ** days. It appears that the company is displaying a lack of interest in addressing my grievance and providing a fair resolution.
