I have booked ticket on regular category rather than student category. I am unaware of the fact that it was under regular booking and I doubted on it, so I called the customer care service of SpiceJet airlines. I have initially waited for ** mins in the call for connecting to customer service executive, but the call has not got connected. It is being repeated that the customer service executives are still talking to other customers and asked me to wait. Again I called and waited for about ** mins, again the same instance got repeated.
In airport while checking in baggage, I shown my student ID card for student baggage allowance of ** kg (general allowance of ** kg and ** kg extra). My luggage weighted around ** kg. So, I asked the executive to consider my student ID for baggage, instead he was ready to charge **** (*** per kg). So, I asked the person to permit me to shift some of my luggage to my hand luggage bag. Despite the laptop and tab are considered under the body weight (not under hand luggage or cabin luggage), he argued that the laptop and tab are considered under hand luggage weight. It is very disrespectful and irresponsive behaviour on the side of SpiceJet services. So, I left with no option to do the payment for excess baggage. I raise a complaint stating loss occured due to deficiency in customer service.
