I am owner of house No.*-*-****/* Sharadanagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad. *. I have been paying taxes regularly until ****-**.
*. On **-**-****, I obtained approval to demolish the existing structure and to build a Stilt + * storey building as per Annexure * attached herewith.
*. At the time of according approval as per Annexure *, GHMC has also levied VACANT LAND TAX of Rs *,***-** valid upto **-**-**** which is the construction time given
*. I completed construction by May **** and applied for Occupancy Certificate on **-**-****
*. The Occupancy Certificate was issued only on **-**-****
However, instead of not levying any property tax during the CONSTRUCTION PHASE, GHMC arbitrarily revised the property tax and sent me notice for *st Floor FOR THE FIRST TIME on **th October, **** as under:

Not only that, apart from this, for each of the newly-built * floors, GHMC also separately levied property taxes with three new PTIN Nos. It means that not only the property tax is exhorbitant, but also the exhorbitant tax is levied twice. Such a huge tax is not levied even for Commercial property. It is also absolutely ridiculous that when there are * floors in the same building with all the floors having the same plinth area, GHMC levies Rs *,***-**, Rs *,***-** and Rs **,***-** which does not have any logic or calculation basis.
The levy of property tax itself is incorrect since I have already paid VACANT LAND TAX for construction valid upto **-**-**** OR issue of Occupancy Certificate on **-**-**** whichever is earlier. I also invite your attention to the AP High Court Judgment in WP No.**** of **** whereby it was clearly laid down that Property tax cannot be levied until Occupancy Certificate is issued.
In view of the foregoing, I request you to take necessary steps to make GHMC revisit the taxes levied and rectify the whole problem.
