- Improper Services Incorrect information provided by Yatra agent led to loss of money Closed
Had booked a flight from yatra. It was to depart from Delhi on *th Feb**** around **AM. Due to corona virus situation flight had to be postponed by about a week. On calling yatra customer care on *th Feb**** at around *PM, we were provided with quotation and details about rescheduling fee. Yatra agent Mr. Aman Sharma specifically told that no show charges of Rs. **** are applicable in case of rescheduling within * hours of flight departure.
However around *-* hours later around *PM when we finally get the things set in motion for rescheduling, we were told that no show charges for rescheduling are applicable within **hours of flight departure. Due to this we had no other option but to pay out Rs. **** as extra bucks. There were in all * passengers travelling on * separate tickets. As per the information provided by yatra initially about no show penalty, company ticket for *pax was rescheduled. Post this we called up yatra to reschedule the ticket for rest of the family(* pax). Now suddenly yatra agent start demanding Rs.**** extra as no show penalty. Since we had no other option but to pay out the money since one of the ticket was already rescheduled, we thought to get it rescheduled for now and escalate the matter later on to yatra.
But such is the arrogance at yatra that they simply refused to refund the Rs. **** as no show charges penalty.
Also there was a twist. Yatra had charges us more money but paid out less to the airlines. They told that fare difference was more earlier but it dropped at time of actual booking. So they will be making refund of Rs.**** as fare difference. But its been more than a month that this money has been credited back.
Yatra has harassed us both financially and mentally. This is just to make it aware in public domain how yatra cheats its customers.
They even accepted the fault of wrong information over mail but not giving back refund for wrong information.
