Vikram Hospital (BENGALURU) Private Limited
- Hospital Treatment Incorrect reports Open
Nawaz ahmed filed this complaint against Vikram Hospital (BENGALURU) Private Limited on Feb 10, 2020
Dear Sir,
I was admitted to Vikram Hospital Bangalore last week for pain in the stomach. It was due to kidney stones.
My experience was a nightmare and I pray no one has to go through it.
The NABH accreditation has to be stipped and future NABL and upcoming JCI accreditations should be prevented.
This is a totally money oriented hospital whose only aim to to make money. Please find the attachments to substantiate my claims :
There is lack of parking. The valet parking guys are rude. They got our car dented while parking at the far away sigma mall.
As per my Ultrasound scan at Scanline, I had * stones (report attached).
However the multiple reports at Vikram hospital contradicted each other.
While I was told before admission that I needed a bilateral stent , after the procedure when I saw the X ray, it was only a single stent . The Dr. failed to inform me as to why this was done.
The CT scan report (before the procedure) does not even mention the stone in the left kidney and the size mentioned on the right kidney is **% less that what was diagnosed in the ultrasound scan.
The X-Ray report after the procedure does not mention any stones at all.
While admission, they said everything is covered under tha package and we got the approval from my insurance for the same.
However during the final bill, I was shocked that there were additional tests performed for which I had to pay the cost. Why was I not consulted before the additional tests were performed and my consent taken on the cost incurred ?
The insurance approval was for a bilateral DJ stent. However, only a single DJ stent was placed.
Even after the tests and scans, nobody bothered to explain the discrepancies to me.
The entire staff including Insurance and Billing is extremely rude. The Government hospital staff behave much better.
If as per the CT scan of the same hospital, there is only * stone on the right , why is ESWL bilateral recommended on the discharge summary ?
The bill for just * days in a semi private ward was Rs.**k +. Insurance covered around Rs.**k as per the package and I was forced to pay the remaining Rs.**k. Not sure why these additional tests were needed. And If they are needed, why are they not a part of the package ?
If there are additional charges incurred apart from what is approved by the insurance, why is it that patient (myself) is not informed and his consent taken ?
The security guards were rude, especially in the casualty.
The only aim of this hospital is to make money at all costs and they exploit everyone, including the doctors.
During the procedure, one stone which was in the ureter was supposedly removed. However it was not shown to us.
I am totally at a loss as to which report to believe as the reports from the same Vikram hospital differ from each other. The radiology and labs are not trustworthy.
There is a total lack of transparency in the billing. They charge Rs.*** as document fee , for which no explanation is provided.
The patients and their families already are stressed and this hospital only adds on to it. No confidence left in their treatment either. My entire family always use to come here for treatment. No More.
There is a total lack of ownership and the patients have to fend for themselves. None of the reports were explained to us and we were shocked to see the contradictory reports at the time of discharge. Its a total waste of time and money and added to our mental agony and stress.
The least this hospital can do is to treat their patients with respect, from whom they mint lakhs and lakhs of rupees.
I will be taking this up in Social media as well to show that NABH accreditation means nothing. The standards at Vikram Hospital are worse of than any government hospital . Somebody should hold them accountable.
Sincerely,
Nawaz ahmed.
