- Harassment during purchase registration of New Harley Davidson Iron 883 Open

*. I am serving in the Indian Army and currently posted in Chandigarh. I purchased a brand new Harley Davidson Iron *** from Nine Bridges Harley Davidson, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India on ** March **** at an ex showroom price of ₹*,**,***/- as there was only one *** (**** model) left and that too only available at the Gujarat dealership. I went ahead with the purchase because I would have to wait for another four months for the **** model and I wanted to get my hands on the motorcycle as soon as possible.
*. The temporary registration of the motorcycle was done by the dealership at Gujarat at a sale amount of ₹*,**,***/- (document attached) and I was asked to fend for the permanent registration from Chandigarh on my own (the dealership had agreed to get the registration done before I purchased the bike, but later they denied). When I went ahead with registration at Chandigarh on ** May ****, for some strange reason the ex showroom price of the motorcycle was shown as ₹**,**,***/- to which I argued with the Registration authority about the ex showroom price that I had paid (invoice attached) but they said that they had no control on the web portal and the price was updated by the dealership itself and hence I had to go ahead with the registration at an inflated price of ₹**,**,***/-(receipt of the tax paid attached) which should actually have been the ex showroom price on my invoice minus the state and central taxes which was coming out to be ₹*,**,***/-(invoice attached). So I paid tax on a sum of ₹**,**,***/- whereas I was liable to pay tax on only a sum of ₹*,**,***/-. I kept approaching both the dealership at Chandigarh and the dealership at Ahmedabad, Gujarat but received no support at all from both the dealerships. Till today the matter has not been resolved and I ended up paying the extra amount which I was not supposed to.
*. With huge concern I would like to highlight the following issues:
(a) My whole experience of buying the motorcycle was spoiled by negligible support from the dealership. (The experience is what matters actually)
(b) Mismanagement at various levels led to my personal financial hiccups.
(c) It created a huge void in the customer dealership relations.
(d) The physical and mental harassment involved along with the investment of huge amount of personal time went in vain.
(e) I don’t think I would like any further association with the brand if this is the support system and the brotherhood that you talk about.
*. Apropos, I would request for the resolution of the above issue and clarification at the earliest for all the mismanagement and continuous miscommunication. I would also demand a compensation of not less than ₹**,**,***/- for all the extreme mental and physical harassment that I have faced in the span of these seven to eight months. All the relevant documents have been attached for your perusal. Request for an early redressal please.
