The company has canceled the old plan and refunded it. According to their email, they had promised to migrate the membership to the new plan. The plan offered ** L cover to each consisting of myself (Veeresh RV), Megha (wife), and daughter. They were about to cancel my membership in May **** stating I didn't disclose two things, after talking to their CEO. His kind actions restored my membership excluding those two things in the membership. While sending membership cancellation, they included a third point stating, I have taken a consultation on * May **** and hidden it. I do not even have the prescription for that, I forgot to take it from the hospital. The Doctor has mentioned, that I have had impulsivity, etc for * months. I remember this consultation well, the Doctor was an aged person, and he was unable to understand what I am conveying to him. I had mentioned * days, if I had the prescription, I would have clarified it then and there. Also, the question of this goes to Even as well. You were about to cancel my membership in June **** for non-disclosure, this consultation happened in May ****. Why didn't you ask me? Now, I also doubt, if the prescription is legit. I have raised this concern with Fortis as well. If EVEN did ask me a long time back, this would have been sorted out easily. It simply means, you kept this hidden to cancel the membership fraduly. I am not doubting the Doctor's credibility but to err is human. EVEN says that there are multiple cases of mine like this, EVEN has multiple cases too! They denied my claim when I met with a road accident stating, that an MLC case is registered and denied treatment. Until I fought with them, they did not admit the claim, and eventually, I did not claim their money for physiotherapy.
Now, the dispute is with my membership. They are not moving forward with my wife and daughter's membership as well. They say that with the refund money I can take another insurance. Why?
Seeing their recent reviews, I assume they have made a model to collect money in a large crowd and once the user is exceeding the premium amount, they find reasons to cancel their membership.
I demand the membership be reinstated along with compensation. Else, assist me in approaching the consumer forum.
