Taniya Roy filed complaint against Hathway Cable And Datacom Ltd on Dec 23, 2019
I had taken the connection on April ****. At that time I had paid a deposit amount of Rs. ***. The customer executive assured me that my deposit would be refunded as soon as I disconnect the connection and return my modem.
As I am shifting to a new city, I requested for disconnection. On Dec **, **** Hathway team came and collected the modem. The executive said, my refund would be processed within a week after submission of this device.
However, I did not get my refund yet. I called Hathway customer service team many times, but they disconnected my calls. I had emailed them at chennaihelpdesk@hathway.net. They replied back saying that deposit cannot be refunded as I did not use the connection for atleast * years.
However, when I had taken the connection they never mentioned any such condition. I was assured that I would get my deposit back anytime.
