Rita Raj Zinzuwadia filed complaint against Motorola on Oct 29, 2023
This is in regards to my Mobile phone - MOTO EDGE **, which I bought from FLIPKART on **st May ****.
I have started receiving green lines on my phone's display in the month of September ****, for which I visited one of your nearest Service center named:- CELLULAR WORLD
Address: Shop No */**, *st floor, Moksh Plaza, Opp Indraprastha Shopping Center, S V Road, Borivali West: ******.
Customer representative No*. reviewed after checking phone:
You got green lines post software update from company, this issue can't be resolved by repairing, We have to replace your phone's screen, as your phone is out of warranty you need to pay charges which ca be Rs.**,***, but as your phone's condition is good i will mail it to company and find out what best can be done. which he intimated after few days over the call that amount will be Rs.****/- .
We dropped the idea of spending such an amount and kept using it as it is, but then lines started increasing, earlier there were two and gradually increased to four.
Now again I reached out to the same service center on **th october ****. (copy of job sheet attached).
Now another representative No. * was there. He said the same: Green lines you got due to software update came from Company.
This person asked me to submit my phone, to check if it has any internal damage or breakage (for that he has to open phone and see) post his study he said everything is fine with your phone only you have scratches on your screen for this we have to keep your phone, and mail company if screen can be replaced free of cost or what can be done. he again asked us to submit device and informed he will intimate us after few days. On **th october **** (after me calling them repetitively) CSR no.* called back and said: we got mail from the Company, your request is rejected and you have to pay approx. Rs.***** to replace, which after me visiting service center changed to Rs. **** to replace your screen. reason for rejection gave to me was "company will not be giving free replacement as there are scratches on your screen"
to this abrupt rejection reason, to calm me down
a representative also suggested me an option (if I don't want to spend so much on screen) I can sell my phone to their franchise shop next to their service center and buy a new phone from there. To check that option too we went to show our phone and he was giving me Rs.**** for this phone.
After all this drama I came and requested representative to forward those mail so I can escalate this issue to company and keep my point ahead but he denied saying we can't do that.
Please Note: post checking I have received my device as DAMAGED phone's back not properly attached and some rubber is coming out. He was sticking back with glue but it did not work.
Compensation I expect is:
company should repair My screen at NO CHARGE as it was THEIR SOFTWARE UPDATE which ruined my whole screen and not my mistake.
Secondly, their service center "Cellular world" has damaged my phone. I need to be compensated.
or REPLACE MY DEVICE WITH NEW ONE.

I got my refund. You guys have really helped me when I needed it the most! Thanks again for your help :-)
