Google - Data loss from Google docs and drive

I’m Ganesh Bestha.

I lost my data which is stored in docs and Drive without my intervention.
I opened my drive and docs after a while (May be after a month) to search my novel and story files. I opened it and in no time they are disappeared. Literally I couldn’t understand what happened. I lost **% of my data from past *-* years. My google data storage has reached the max limit of ** GB. So, I stopped backing up the photos to the cloud to save the storage. I’m not sure how is that related here. If I lost all my data in Google drive and docs is because of this, google is supposed to notify me about this but they didn’t do that.

Due to this, I lost my writings, novels. Few of them have a backup. But the latest ones don’t have any backup and I’m completely dependent on docs and drive. I have a final novel version document and all other story related files. Everything is lost. I have spent lot of time in writing those. It’s a very valuable creative work which can’t be done again. This loss is huge.


I contacted Google many times but there’s no proper response. I asked them to check what went wrong. I asked for the logs so that I can get to know what happened exactly. Even for this there’s no response. They tried a recovery but nothing major item got recovered. A very few items got restored which becomes only *-**% of lost data. Google support team just delaying this by not providing proper resolution. It’s a data breach which can’t be done by such a big company. I want justice here. Trusting google became a huge loss for me.

I want my data back if not I want a compensation for my data loss. My data is very valuable as the novels and stories create job and money for me. They also made me loose opportunities.

I demand for a compensation of Rs. *******/- INR if all my data is not retrieved.

Believe that you will be able to provide proper justification to me.
