Dear Delhivery,
My name is Faraz, and I am from Bhopal, I recently started a small-scale business of living furniture in Bhopal. I planned to purchase furniture in bulk from Delhi, and I was looking out for a good & reputed courier company in Bhopal. A friend recommended to me Associated Logistics Corporation of India (Shailesh Mathur) an authorized Chanel partner of delhivery, upon speaking with Mr Mathur he gave me a good delivery package as he wanted to have me as a long-term business customer. He recommended me to bring goods by sharing (LTL) so that my delivery charges will drop drastically and also agreed to charge me by per kg instead of volumetric weight. In this way, i was saving a whole lot of money on the courier. Hence we agreed on the same. My first shipment was on **th Mar'** and the total goods amounted to *****/- and the weight was *** max as per the furniture factory people. My Shailesh Mathur charged me *** kgs and said this weight was provided to him by Delhivery upon weighing my furniture. I agreed and paid him a sum of *****/- in advance as he refused to provide me COD. My cargo was packed in a very professional way as it was bubble wrapped, then grass wrapped, then again bubble wrap covered by a white plastic sheet.
Mr. Shailesh assured me that no items will be damaged and all the goods will be personally taken care of. (Attached video & pictures of how the furniture was packed by the factory guys). On the day when my goods were to be delivered to me, Mr. Shailesh called me and informed me that * trucks will be sent out for the delivery of my furniture as they won't be accommodated in * Truck. After some time I received a call from Mr. Sandeep informing me about the time of delivery, I requested Mr. Sandeep if his delivery guys can help me unpack the furniture and keep it at my home for which I was willing to pay the guys extra amount for which Mr. Sandeep replied that he is short of men and requested me to arrange my own labor. Around **:** the delivery truck was outside my home & to my horror all the furniture loaded in * truck in a very congested way. The delivery guys loaded all the furniture i.e ** pieces and Mr Ramesh told me to sign the paper so they can leave on an urgent basis since they had more deliveries. As my labors did not reach on time to unpack my furniture, as a good gesture I didn't want to hold the delivery guys for long period & I signed the document and asked the delivery guy if the furniture is damaged, what do I need to do, for which he replied that I should contact Mr. Sandeep in that case, and this document is only a proof that we delivered all ** pieces to you. Once the delivery guys left, my laborers showed up and started unpacking the furniture, It took them * hours to unpack all the furniture and to my shock, **% for the furniture was damaged. I have attached all the pictures of damaged products and the same were also sent to the merchant i.e Mr Shailesh. Mr Shailesh told me that I should not have signed the document & it's my mistake, but as he wanted to maintain a long term business relation with me, he was kind enough to offer me help & speak to some called Mr Lakhan in Pune regarding the compensation of damaged furniture.
I informed Mr Shailesh that i have incurred a loss of **,***/- rps as all the furniture was new. Mr Shailesh told me that he will talk to the management and informed me to repair the furniture and present him with the receipt. After repairing all the furniture I incurred a bill of **,***/-. Same was provided to Mr Shailesh, he said that he will talk with Mr Lakhan and since delhivery does insurance for all their products he will try to provide a refund but will take almost a month.
I am attaching all the furniture pictures and relevant documents, I appreciate someone in senior management look at this & try to provide me a refund for what I have spent on repairing. It's almost a week now but Mr Shailesh has not given me a proper response and requested me to send an email to Delhivery team.
