Anubha Tewari filed complaint against Shoes On Loose Private Limited on Dec 10, 2020
My husband (Abhinav Sharma) and I (Anubha Tewari) (both Indian citizens) work and live in UK. We saved our hard-earned money and booked a holiday in Dubai with this company based in India in January ****. The package was booked for **th July to **th July ****.
However, due to the Coronavirus travel restrictions around that time when there pandemic was at its peak in UK, we could not travel. The company did not get in touch for months regarding what recourse we have.
Meanwhile, another company Secret Escapes based in UK promptly issued us a voucher for our missed Iceland trip of April ****. They gave us a full value voucher as refund that we can use on their website for * year and at the end of * year if it's unused, they would refund all back.
Shoes On Loose on the other hand was not responding to our emails. Finally, after months of trying they told us they can rebook the package for December this year and that's the best they can do. However, my wife and I were not feeling safe traveling at all. Also, UK entered Lockdown *.* in December ****.
We replied to their "ransom-like" solution and proposed to them if they could do something similar to Secret Escapes but they haven't replied. Since then, the company has gone underground and we are told there are many more travellers who are cheated after booking with Shoes On Loose. My husband and I are only looking at somehow getting all our hard-earned money back.
