Star Health Allied Insurance Company - Cheated by Star Insurance in alliance with Ortho one hospital

I have taken star health cash less policy for my mom for **,**,*** * years back. My mom has to undergo knee replacement surgery and after thorough investigation whether this operation could be covered under cashless as the cost of the surgery is *,**,*** and only then we have admitted in Ortho one hospital. At the time of admission, star health has approved *,**,*** rupee. Inspite of it the hospital told us to pay *,**,*** as caution deposit. At the time of discharge, from the hospital, they told that you have got a claim sanctioned for *,***** (incl that initially approved *,*****) for the bill amount of *,***** and they have asked us to pay the remaining. When I Checked the claim form it was noted that the room rent is mentioned as * Rs where in we have rent claim up to **** and I also noted that there was a mention of ***** as taxes and cess, when I enquired about this they told that it’s typo error and then they ll re apply. But the next day the hospital bill amount was mentioned as ****** and the claim approved Amt is ****** and taxes and cess column is renamed as others and the charge was ***** and the bill was adjusted in various other areas as well including proper room rent. The query was raised against the inclusion of room rent and exclusion of taxes and cess for which they adjusted the entire bill and raised the charges and adjusted that room rent… Even after repeated struggles the hospital and the insurance company forced us to pay *,***** (*,**,*** caution deposit) from our pocket though it’s a cashless policy and lot of forgery in billing and adjustments…. Then why should we pay high premium for cashless policy if we have to spend such a big amount from our pocket…
