As i had an accident and leg injury, i booked an Ola Cab for *hr **kms to take me to a nearby hospital in Vikhroli about *kms. I then went to my office which was **km away. I requested the driver to wait in my office parking. As i was in crutches, i could not supervise the driver and trusted him to park in the appropriate spot in the basement of my building. At office i was surprised to get a call from Ola cabs if the hiring service was ok. As i was busy, i said the experience was ok so far. Later i finished work and called the driver to pick me up. I was surprised to see that he did not come from the designated parking spot but from outside the building. I thought he probably went to catch a cup of tea so ignored it and went home after stopping briefly at a car shop on the way. As i was in considerable pain, alighting and getting off the car was a trouble and i simply paid the bill upon alighting and released the driver. Later when i checked the bill i found i had been overcharged for **kms whereas the distance to and fro my residence is less than **km. I was charged extra for extra hours which was consistent with the ola rate structure. When i saw the map in the bill i was shocked to see the driver had actually travelled from the eastern expressway in mumbai to the western expressway during the time i had asked him to park the car.
What is extremely disturbing and of deep harassment is the time Ola took to investigate the matter. They refused my request that a member of their team speak to me and continue to do so despite my repeated requests.
Further they have the temerity to say ' they have validated the bill' and find there is no error when in fact their driver has committed a fraud.
Repeated requests to them on social media has resulted in no action and they adamantly refuse to take action against the errant driver.
I feel really harassed as a consumer with them and feel they should be taken to task as they are wilfully colluding with their drivers despite a genuine complaint.
