This hotel in Bengaluru has a very unfair booking cancellation policy. On March *, ****, the property owner asked me to pay *** rupees in advance just to reserve one cottage-style room for a *-night stay at their hotel. I agreed to that and so, he shared a QR code with me via WhatsApp and then I paid him *** rupees as an advance amount ONLY for making my reservation. My planned dates for staying at the hotel were from ** March **** to ** March ****. On * March ****, I decided to cancel my reservation at the hotel due to a change of mind. I contacted one of their reservation staff (his name is Manoj) and I also contacted the property owner (Manjunath) to demand my refund. But, I was shocked and disappointed because they didn't agree to my refund request (*** rupees). Instead, they only offered me a credit note of the same amount which is valid only for the next six months. The credit note is just like a gift voucher. This is a clear violation of the Consumer Protection Act. The hotel just can't force me to accept only a credit note/gift voucher instead of providing me with a full refund of the advance amount which I had paid on * March ****. This is not right. I demand Seasons Suites - HBR to return my money as soon as possible. I also demand a sincere apology letter along with a compensation amount for the frustration and harassment that I had to experience due to the property owner's rude attitude and stubbornness.
