- Air Ticket Money not refunded Open
I had booked * tickets Doha-Bengaluru and Mumbai-Doha with Akbartravels.com (india portal), Travel dates was schedule for ** March****. These tickets were booked using my credit card.
Unfortunately, due to COVID** there was Lockdown that happened in Qatar and due to the severity of the situation airline had cancelled both the booking. Eventually I received an email from the airline about ticket cancellation and full refund. Because I had booked the reservation with the agency Akbartravels.com, I sent them an email informing them about the cancellation of tickets. I got reply from the agency staff they have processed the cancellation and they will apply refund with the airline, and I will be refunded soon. Its is over * months and I am still following up with them over the email with no proper response until I made my brother in India to call them. Finally, they acknowledge my email but to my surprise now they came back saying they cannot refund me the ticket amount however they will give me credit shell which is valid for one year. The same passenger needs to travel on or before the expiry of the credit shell. I fail to understand what kind of policy this is holding back somebody’s hard earned money. Since the agency staff had said I will be receiving the refund soon (in month of March) I waited patiently and paid the late fee for * months to the credit card company. And today they made up this story of credit shell.
I made next move from my side and called the airline and to my surprise they said BOMDOH sector was already refunded in the month of March to the agency. I feel so disgusted hearing this , why should I be paying penalties to the credit card companies …? And for what..? there should be a strict action against such fraudulent companies who are readily available in the market to cheat their customers. I demand justice, Justice should prevail and they should not do this again to anyone. I need full refund along with the penalties that was paid by me to the credit card company.
