Refund
I had Bangalore – Delhi, and Delhi – Srinagar flight on *th April with PNR number HJRCK. Find attached the ticket below.
The flight landed on time from Bangalore – Delhi. I missed the Delhi – Srinagar flight in spite of having a layover period of *h **m in Delhi. Here are the reasons why
*. The departure time from Delhi was changed from **:** to **:** without any prior notice
*. When I arrived at the Domestic Transfer section security check at Delhi Airport, I was told by Air India staff that everyone standing in the queue is waiting for the same flight and due to some issue, the flight would be delayed
*. There were no announcements made or whatsoever from the airlines to let people know that the flight would be departing at **:**. While all of us believed it would depart at **:** as planned
*. A fight broke out in security check (Between Security, Indigo, and Air India staffs) and the checking got further delayed
*. Apparently, there were two other flights ready for departure from Indigo at the same time and the Indigo Airlines hostesses helped all their passengers get through the security check done quickly. Whereas Air India neither made any announcements nor did anyone get in touch with passengers
*. There were at least ** people waiting in the security check queue for our flights. Air India took no responsibility for the people.
*. I received a call from Air India staff to check if I’m able to make it to the flight. I immediately rushed towards the gate.
*. I clearly explained that I finished my security check and I will be boarding the flight before departure time. But the flight took off right in front of me even with the main gates open.
*. This is just not for me. There were at least ** people who came running along with me and the flight was not yet taken off.
When we conveyed our disregard with the male staff present there, he behaved in a rude manner with me and my sister. After many requests from other people, he directed all of us (About ** people) to Air Asia staff and told us that we would be taken to a different gate where we could board a flight to Srinagar. We were under the impression that we were being accommodated in a flight of another airline that was due for takeoff. But that staff got all our tickets canceled and made us exit the Airport with our luggage.
This response is unfair and infuriating. I had no luggage check-in (Since we had to collect luggage at Srinagar), a small cabin bag, and had *h **m to catch a flight and I wasn’t let to board even with the flight right in front of me which took off probably after **min of me requesting the staff.
I was left with no other option but to book a different flight from Delhi – Srinagar for me and my sister, which cost us ₹**,*** extra and we had to wait at the airport with all our luggage for one whole day.
This doesn’t look like a mistake from the staff but much like a deliberate act.
