Arockia Dixon Jeyakumar filed complaint against Football Monk on Jul 6, 2026
I, Arockia Dixon Jeyakumar, respectfully submit this complaint under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, ****, against Football Monk for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices.
Facts of the Case
I placed an order through Football Monk for Italy Away football jerseys after paying the full purchase amount through their platform.
Upon delivery, I found that the seller had supplied Italy Home jerseys instead of the Italy Away jerseys that I had ordered.
Immediately after discovering the error, I contacted the seller through their customer support channels and provided complete evidence, including photographs of the delivered product, packaging, order details, and other supporting documents.
Despite repeated follow-ups and providing sufficient proof, the seller failed to resolve the issue within a reasonable period. The opposite party has neither replaced the incorrect product with the correct one nor provided an appropriate refund.
Due to the seller's negligence and failure to honour the purchase agreement, I have suffered financial loss, inconvenience, unnecessary mental harassment, and a complete loss of confidence in the services provided.
I also approached the National Consumer Helpline, where my grievance was registered under Docket No. *******. However, the issue remains unresolved despite the opportunity provided to the seller to settle the matter amicably.
Grounds of Complaint
The actions of the opposite party amount to:
Deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act, ****.
Unfair trade practice by supplying goods different from those advertised and ordered.
Failure to provide an effective after-sales grievance redressal mechanism.
Causing financial loss and mental harassment to the consumer.
Reliefs Sought
I respectfully request that the Hon'ble Commission may kindly direct the opposite party to:
Replace the incorrectly supplied products with the exact Italy Away jerseys as originally ordered, or, in the alternative, refund the entire purchase amount.
Pay compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience, and harassment caused due to the deficiency in service.
Reimburse any litigation expenses and other incidental costs incurred in pursuing this complaint.
Grant any other relief that this Hon'ble Commission deems fit and proper in the interest of justice.
