HDFC Ltd - Wrongly Adjusted Amount from EMI

*. My HDFC Home loan A/c No is on the name of self

*. Pl ref to my mails to the customer care regarding outstanding balance against my account.

*. It is reflected that there is payment difference between payment due and payment made in the month of ** June **** of cheque no ******. HDFC have provided that for EMI I had paid Rs ***** instead of Rs *****. I hereby produce the copy of the cheque deposited to the HDFC of the same amount and the same is also reflected in the bank statement.

*. I kept on asking to resolve the issue by calls and mails to your representatives by however no one was able to clarify this .

*. I am serving personnel who cannot visit your office daily so I always interacted through mails or calls but via mails and calls I was ask to visit your branch office. So during my leave on visiting to your office on ** Apr **** I again asked your representative Mr Gupta to resolve the issue as the cheque is of same amount. Then it was told to me there is some outstanding balance of Rs **** which was balance for some conversion of **** vintage. In the office itself I received call of Mrs Anubha from Lucknow branch, wherein I have explained all details,to which it is told it will be raised to appropriate level.

*. I had checked all my statements from **** till **** and in none of the statements any such outstanding balance was reflected. The instrument no of the cheque provided of **** could not be traced out as even banks don’t keep such long records. Now there are some queries which is required to be furnished to me as the customer and consumer of the services of HDFC:-

a. Why after * years all of a sudden this outstanding dues popped up?

b. Why there is no outstanding amount shown in any of the annual statements? Why its not been intimated to me through various mechanisms and checks prevalent?

c. Whose consent was taken to consider the amount of cheque given for EMI partially of the amount of Rs ***** and not Rs *****.

d. Why there is no intimation to me from **** till **** verbally ,through mails ,though my online account or emails?

e. Why none of your representatives of Lucknow branch able to clarify the issue for so long of any outstanding dues of ****?

f. I am local of Place where HDFC is there then Why no efforts taken by your office for * years to info the same at my residence?

*. I am pretty upset with the unprofessional and unethical attitude been reflected by HDFC. On your own accord the cheque was considered as per whims and fancies reflecting partial payment of EMI which is incorrect. And very smartly INTEREST is been levied on the Bal EMI since **** and I was asking HDFC about which balance payment and everyone is saying I have paid less amount. In the entire episode it amounts to harassment to the consumer who is always honest is paying all dues. Such attitude is unacceptable from the reputed bank of yours.

*. I request you to first change the adjustment of June **** cheque of complete EMI payment. Since then it is reflecting incomplete payment in my credit score which is not fault of mine rather mistake at your end for * years for not intimating to me through any channel . Also for the issue of outstanding of some reversal of **** pls give me formal letter with all the paper trails and the reasons for why its not been reflected for so long till **** and why adjusted from my EMI cheque without informing or taking my consent. For the amount as balance of **** I am not liable to pay any Interest if its not communicated to me for * long years and things are being clarified now.

*. I hope positive response from HDFC end but failing which I was forced for the redressal of the grievances of the consumer to be raised to consumer forum.
