JIO Infocomm - Used Mobile number activated on new conection purchased

Undersigned visited JIO Store, as on **/**/** around **:** AM and requested a new Prepaid Mobile connection. After submitting the requisite documents and paying Rs.*** (Rupees Two Hundred Ninety Eight only) JIO #xxxxxxx was activated on new SIM received. Soon after activation service messages from Tata Sky and other service providers started to land in message Inbox, after few days some calls from unknown numbers were received by undersigned, callers were looking to talk to some gentleman called Asl% from Kir@upur. Tried explaining the callers that the number may have been reissued, some appeared not ready to accept it. Tried posting Advertisement on OLX with specified number and discovered that number was previously barred by OLX due to inappropriate use and performing forbidden activities (undersigned has part of conversation recorded whereby OLX service agent explains the reason for barring number). Contacted JIO and explained the situation while submitting request for disconnecting/disassociating the specified number from my account/ name and issuing a new unused number, request was rejected by service provider JIO, undersigned was advised to discontinue use of aforesaid number and buy a new connection, no refund or return shall be entertained by JIO was the response of Customer Care Representative. Appellant hereby urges the competent authority to consider following misconduct/misdeed/unfair practice by service provider JIO Infocomm. # Undersigned requested a new connection and used/old connection was sold (may be considered as breach of trust and cheating on account of JIO Infocomm) # No information by JIO was provided at the time of sale that product/connection being sold may be a used one (hiding vital information from buyer which may influence the buyer's decision of purchase) # Product sold was allegedly used inappropriately in a forbidden manner according to one of the Digital Service provider may have been misused at other platforms too (may cause unnecessary trouble to undersigned for acts of other) # Specified conduct of JIO Infocomm has caused compromise to undersigned's SAFETY, Security, PRIVACY and reputation while exposing undersigned to unforeseen hassles and complexity which may include legal issues. # CIBIL report may be affected if any contact number with suspicious history is associated with Aadhar number. Keeping in view above mentioned facts and damages caused by JIO Infocomm, kindly help appellant to receive # Certificate of disconnection/disassociation of specified number ie +*****xxxxx from undersigned’s Aadhar account with a letter from JIO that connection was sold as new without providing any information about used status of specified number. # A compensation of Rs.**,**,***/- (Rupees Ten Lacs only) to provide for damages to reputation, privacy, safety and unforeseen financial/social/legal issues as explained above.
