Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this email finds you well. Today, a group of approximately ** to ** members visited my residence to discuss a petition or complaint related to the combined amount for two separate EB consumer connections that are under the same owner name. The connections in question are identified by the service connection numbers **** and ****.
During the discussion, I inquired about the reason for the doubling of the bill amount for the individual connections and was informed that this new policy is based on a government order. However, I was not presented with any documentation or reference number to support this claim.
According to one of the members, the connection with higher unit consumption was chosen to report the combined or merged amount for the total units consumed, with a deduction of *** units. I would like to understand how this decision affects the other consumer connection and what government order authorizes such action.
As I have already raised a petition with the reference number TN/ENERGY/DGL/I/PORTAL/**NOV**/********, I kindly request a written statement regarding this matter. I intend to utilize the Right To Information act and approach the consumer court for further assistance.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with the necessary information and the relevant government order reference number to better understand the situation and take appropriate action.
